FITNESS 101 (overweight and obese children)
FITNESS 101: Since we all know that being obese is associated with a significant number of health risks such as heart disease, type-2 diabetes, bone and joint problems, certain types of cancers, and psychological and emotional issues; Fitness 101 is designed for families that have children who struggle with weight and need guidance in exercise and nutrition. We are committed to help every individual who is ready to make a change in their behavior and to whole families that will make behavior changes in order to support a child or children in their household. Our program is designed to move you physically but also psychologically and to make you feel better about yourself. We teach you the basics about exercise and nutrition as part of the program. To reach success parental support is crucial, parents who will be working out with their children and helping them by changing their eating habits, food choices, and buying habits will help lead to success. Every parent should know that he/she is the key factor in changing the behavior of their kids. If they as adults change their behavior then children will follow their leads. So we will work as a team and reach success!
THE FITNESS PART of the program is designed to reach every individual regardless of incoming shape and physical conditioning. Every workout is designed by the qualified staff, which will start with low intensity programming that will slowly and gradually expand to advance workouts. In 12 weeks of working out the body develops muscle, becomes stronger, gains flexibility and stability. In our program we do not use any type of machines. We work fundamental workouts that will incorporate light medicine balls, resistance tubing, jump ropes and various floor exercises. Every participant will be able to execute the exercises that will be presented to him or her, no matter what their age or physical conditioning.
THE NUTRITIONAL PART of the program is set up of nutritional points that will create a great foundation for the family and child. We will focus on the eating habits, food choice, buying patterns, restaurant choices, and all other situational habits that will require behavior changing. Each of these habits will be addressed separately and modified. With this said, parents have to be focused and work their best to change their own behavior in order to ensure their children are successful with the program. We will work closely with parents guiding them and ideas of what and how to approach every obstacle that might occur during the period of change in life style. We have to work as a team and push as hard as we can together. Changes will come and you will recognize these changes by feeling, and looking better then ever!
